Albert “Vince” Flores, 47, of Alamogordo, NM passed away on Thursday, October 28, 2021. A beloved father, grandfather, son, brother, and uncle, Vince leaves us all with special memories that will forever bring a smile to our hearts.
Vince was born on August 22, 1974 to Al and Pat Flores in Houston, Texas. A 1993 graduate of Alamogordo High School, Vince played Varsity Football and was awarded the Offensive Lineman of the Year Honor in 1992 along with receiving All District Honors. After graduation he attended NMSU-A and the University of New Mexico to pursue a degree in Psychology. His career path led him to work in the Casino industry working for Cities of Gold Casino, the Inn of the Mountain Gods and Isleta Resort and Casino as a Table Games Dealer and Supervisor. Following in his father’s footsteps, he continued the family photography business and then finally settled in Lubbock, Texas in the automotive industry with Mears Mazda. His passion for football and Texas continued on as a diehard Texas Longhorn Fan and as an AYFL coach, he lead his Titan’s Football Team to a Super Bowl Victory in 2008. But it was his devotion and love for his children and grandchildren that many will remember and miss him most for.
Vince is survived by his children, Alexandria Flores Marquez and husband Erik Marquez, Albert “Vinny” Flores III and wife Kaitlyn; grandchildren, Alina and Lennix Marquez; sister, Trisha Flores Sullivan and brother in law Roland Duece Sullivan; nieces, Adrienne and Shelby Collins; and nephews, JonHenry Sifuentes and Giovani Montoya.
Vince was preceded in death by his parents, Al and Pat Flores.
A memorial service has been set for 4:00 pm, Friday, November 5, 2021 at the Alamogordo Funeral Home Chapel.
Cremation will take place and Vince’s final resting place will be in none other than the Great State of Texas.
The Flores family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the services.
