Kent House, Owner & Funeral Service Practitioner FSP#580 & DD#0062 – Kent is a native Alamogordo resident and started in funeral service in 1980. He received his Funeral Director/Embalmer License in 1985. He brings many years of experience in funeral service and in the Alamogordo community, as well as the passion, commitment and flexibility to take care of people in a loving, caring and professional manner. He is married to Lisa Durrett House, and has two children and four grandchildren and has enjoyed being active in community, state and national activities: Member, Alamogordo Chamber of Commerce, Past President in 2002-2003; NM Funeral Service Association, President in 1999-2000; National Funeral Directors Association, Legislative Policy Board member 1998-2001, 2011-2017; New Mexico Funeral Service Board; White Sands Health Care Association, Zia Therapy Center Endowment Board and Human Rights Commission; Alamogordo Rotary Club, President 2006-2007; United Way, Past Chairman; Red Cross, Past Chairman; Loco Credit Union, past Board Member; Kids Kingdom, Fundraising Chairman; and many other boards and committees.

Lisa Durrett House, J.D. #726, D.D. #70

Vice President/CEO/Owner

Lisa House, Owner & CEO; J.D. #726 & D.D. #70 - Lisa grew up in Alamogordo and is married to Kent House. They have two grown children, and four grandchildren. Lisa has been helping people as an attorney for 38 years, her former law firm being Lisa K. Durrett, P.C., and now works primarily in their funeral homes and related businesses. Since 2000, she has attended numerous seminars, workshops and conventions related to funeral, cremation and celebration services, and is a licensed Direct Disposer. These services are a natural extension of her compassion towards and desire to help people. Member: Alamogordo Chamber of Commerce; New Mexico Bar Assn; Otero Co. Bar Assn.; P.E.O. Chapter BI; and Elks.  She has served on numerous boards, including CHINS (Children in Need of Services), the Senior Advisory Council, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, and COPE (Center of Protective Environment), and others. She and her husband are strong in their faith and love to travel, cook, boat and watch their delightful grandchildren play and grow.

Sindi Neudorf

Chief Financial Officer

Sindi Neudorf, Chief Financial Officer - Sindi graduated from Alamogordo High School in 1980, and immediately went to work for Dama Wimberly, a court reporter.  In March of 1981, Dama recommended to Charles W. Durrett that he hire Sindi at his law office.  She was employed by Charles and Lisa Durrett, a father/daughter team, as a legal secretary and paralegal for 25 years.  Lisa Durrett met and married Kent House in March of 2002.  In 2003, together they built Professional Crematory Services, at which time Sindi began her career in the funeral industry as a bookkeeper.  In 2005, Kent and Lisa purchased the Alamogordo Funeral Home, at which time Sindi became their Chief Financial Officer.  Sindi took over those same duties for the Hamilton-O’Dell Funeral Home (now Scenic Chapel) when it was purchased by Kent and Lisa House in 2009.  Sindi is married to George Neudorf and they have one son, Nik Neudorf, M.D.

Duane Adams, FSP #535

Director of Operations

Duane Adams, Funeral Service Practitioner #535 - Duane was born and raised in Alamogordo. His family has a rich heritage in Otero County. His grandparents, Frank and Josephine Smith, were active in the community for many years. His parents, Billy and Barbara Adams, had long careers with the test track at HAFB and NMSU-A.  He graduated from Alamogordo High School in 1977.  Duane served his internship with Hamilton Funeral Home when it was on 10 th  St.  He graduated from Dallas Institute of Funeral Service in 1980.   The majority of his career was spent in practice with French Mortuary in Albuquerque, NM, before returning to Alamogordo to join the team at Alamogordo Funeral Home in 2012.  Duane is married to Tanya (Williamson) Adams. They have two children, Collin and Nolan, and two wonderful grandchildren.  They are strong supporters of Autism Awareness.

Chuck Moon, FSP#996

Funeral Service Practitioner #996

Chuck Moon, Funeral Service Practitioner #996 - Chuck Moon is a retired Air Force Chaplain having completed assignments and deployments in various places in the world.  He also spent many years as a hospice chaplain in the local area, assisting families in working through the emotions of saying good-bye to their loved ones.  He has lived in the Alamogordo area since 1992.  Chuck went back to school in 2016, graduated from Commonwealth Institute of Funeral Services in 2017, and received his Funeral Service Practitioner’s license in 2018.

Connie Perusse, FSP#1000, DD#71

Advance Planning and Aftercare Director

Connie Perusse, Funeral Service Practitioner #1000, Direct Disposer # 71, Advance Care Director – Connie Perusse came to the funeral home in 2009 as our Preneed Specialist.  She obtained a Mortuary Science Degree from Commonwealth Institute of Funeral Service, in 2018, becoming a Funeral Service Practitioner the same year.  Prior to funeral service, she retired from banking after nearly twenty-five years.  Connie is a native of Alamogordo, active in the community and is currently a member of the Alamogordo Rotary Club and P.E.O., Chapter BI. She is married to Mark and together they have five children and one grandchild.

Dennis Gallegos, FSI#2169

Funeral Service Intern

Dennis Gallegos, Funeral Service Intern #2169 - Dennis is a Colorado native who was raised in northern New Mexico.  He graduated from the College of Santa Fe in 1981, with an undergraduate degree in Psychology.   In 1987, he received a Masters of Divinity from Mount Angel Abbey and Seminary in St. Benedict, Oregon.   He is a retired State of New Mexico Probation/Parole Officer.  He worked for the Adult Division (New Mexico Corrections Department) from 1989 through 2003, and the Juvenile Division (Children, Youth and Families Department) from 2003 until July, 2013, at which time he retired.  It was not long thereafter, in October, 2013, that he began working part-time at the funeral home, assisting in clerical duties as well as assisting funeral directors with funeral services.  In 2017, he secured his funeral services intern license, as he found fulfillment in assisting families, much like he did when he worked for State of NM.  Dennis is married to DJ (Gaskins) Gallegos.  They have been married since 1992, and have raised two sons and are proud grandparents of three grandchildren.

Leanne Slater

Administrative Assistant

Leanne Slater, Administrative Assistant – Leanne has been working for Alamogordo Funeral Home since 2012. She enjoys her job and working with the families who come to us for comfort and direction. She is a mother of 3 and has been lucky enough to stay at home with them until they were all enrolled in school. She is also the wife of a law enforcement officer as well as a daughter of retired law enforcement officers. She believes that being involved with law enforcement has given her the understanding and the compassion that you can lose a loved one at any moment and that sometimes it can be tragic. “Working with Kent and Lisa House has been a wonderful experience! We are not just employees and coworkers, we are family! We work well together to provide the best care possible for you and your loved ones!”

Matthew Mancuso

Maintenance Assistant

Matthew Mancuso, Maintenance Assistant – Matt was born in 1989 to Paul and Alicia (Estrada) Mancuso.  He is a lifelong area resident.  He has two children.  Matt has worked for various businesses in the Alamogordo area.  He is a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.

Barbara Adams

Funeral Service Assistant

Barbara Adams, Funeral Service Assistant - Barbara is from Mason City, Iowa, and a military spouse. She retired as a budget analyst from Civil Service. In 2010 she began a rewarding career with Alamogordo Funeral Home and Hamilton-O’Dell Funeral Home as an Administrative Assistant.  Now in her second retirement, she assists with funerals and memorial services.  She is married to Alamogordo native John Adams. She and John enjoy spending time with family, reading and traveling.

Pete Nissley

Manager, Transition Team

Pete Nissley, Transition Team Supervisor - Pete was born in Banbury, England, to Steve and Carol Nissley, while they were stationed at Upper Hayford AFB.  They moved around to several Air Force bases before settling down in Alamogordo, in October of 1990. He has been a member of our staff since October of 2010. He has been an Environmental Technician for Holloman AFB since July of 2007, and has served Otero County as a Volunteer Firefighter since June of 1996. He has been a devoted husband to Angie Nissley since August of 2002. Pete and his team strive to assure our families that their loved ones will be cared for with the highest respect and dignity.


Michael Sedillo

Crematory Operator/Transition Provider

Michael Sedillo, Certified Crematory Operator, and Transition Provider – Michael was born in Alamogordo, NM, on January 17th, 1990, to Michael and Anita Sedillo.  Michael is the proud brother to three sisters, proud husband to Michele, and step-father to two boys.  Michael is a Certified Crematory Operator.  He manages PCS Precious Pets and works with the Transition Team.  He is active in various organizations in Alamogordo.

Danny Valenzuela

Transition Provider

Danny Valenzuela, Transition Provider – Danny was born in El Paso, TX, on October 15, 1956, third child of 8.  His parents immigrated to Alamogordo from Parral and Torreon, Mexico.  His father was a well-known tailor in Alamogordo, owning Danny's Tailor Shop, where Danny apprenticed with him and learned how to sew. He is a lifelong area resident.  He received his GED in 1990 and became an EMT.  He volunteered with Alamo West Fire Department.  After many years of working in construction/concrete, his education provided him with an opportunity to begin working for NASA Fire Department since 1999. He is a Firefighter, EMT, Driver Operator and HazMat Specialist. He is married to Lupe and has one son, Daniel. He has worked on the Transition Team since 2015.
