Linda L Bochantin

Linda L. Bochantin, 73, passed away on July 28, 2022 at home surrounded by family.  She was born on May 24, 1949 in Eugene, Oregon to John and Grace Marjorie (Edom) Boss.  The family moved to Alamogordo in 1955.  

Linda graduated from Alamogordo High School in 1967.  From there, she went on to pursue a career in the legal system working for multiple attorneys, the Public Defender, the District Attorney and the Court Clerk’s Office as Deputy District Court Clerk for the 12th Judicial District.  Finally, in 1993, she became co-owner and Chief Financial Officer of Alamogordo Parts and Supply (the Napa store), where she retired after 23 years.  First and foremost, she was a loving wife and mother who raised three beautiful daughters.  Linda loved her four grandchildren and liked to go camping, riding four-wheelers, hunting, fishing, being with family, and going to Bible study with a special group of friends.  She lived her life with grace and a gentleness that touched almost everyone who knew her.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Grace Marjorie Boss, and her beloved dog, Bubba.  She is survived by husband, Kenneth Bochantin; daughters, Brandi and Tara Greenwood, and Amanda (Wesley) Brandon; brothers, Richard (Kimberly) and James (Seena) Boss; grandchildren, Justin and Alison Schillick, Sage Greenwood and Wesley Kane Brandon; many nieces and nephews; and very special friend and birthday twin, Yvonne Boyle.  

The family would like to extend a very special thanks to Donna Miller of Alamogordo Homecare and Hospice.  Her care and kindness helped us through this incredibly difficult time. 
 
In lieu of funeral services, we will celebrate Linda’s life on Sunday, September 25, 2022 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Tea Shed in Alamogordo, 5946 Highway 54 South. We welcome all who would like to join us. 
 
The family has entrusted our loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home.
