Daniel Mendoza, 55, went to be with the Lord on December 30, 2018 in Alamogordo, New Mexico. He was born on October 5, 1963 in Florence Magon, Chihuahua, Mexico to Valentin and Genoveva Mendoza.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend; a hard working family man who adored his daughters and loved being a grandfather; a kind-hearted person who would help anyone in need and would tell anyone who would listen about Jesus. He was always with a smile and in a good mood.
Daniel was a man of many trades and talents. He worked in construction for many years and began building a house of his own. He was a custodian with the Alamogordo Public Schools where he worked at the middle school in HAFB, then later at Alamogordo High School. He worked with the Roto-rooter Company for many years, managed a mobile home park for 3 years and had his own handyman business where he did maintenance, plumbing, electrical, remodeling, etc. He was know to be able to fix ANYTHING.
At one time he was vice-president of Full Gospel Men's Fellowship.
Survivors include his wife, Maria Mendoza; four daughters, Cassandra Mendoza, Alma Hines, Clarissa Aragon, and Ruby Mendoza; his grandchildren, Angelo, Gabriel, Michael, Serena and Jonathan; his father, Valentin and mother, Genoveva Mendoza; his sisters, Leticia Mendoza, Beatriz Mendoza (Victor Delgado), Norma Mendoza (Alejandro Garcia), Magdalena Mendoza, Nora Mendoza, Margarita Mendoza (Francisco Ramos); a brother, Gilberto Mendoza and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Presiliano Mendoza and Juana Gonzalez; and maternal grandparents, Saturnino Hernandez and Josephina Lazo.
A viewing will be from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm on Monday, January 7, 2019, at the Alamogordo Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside service will be afterward at Christ Community Cemetery, then testimonies and food at Christ Community Fellowship Hall.
Pallbearers include Jose Martinez, Carm Martinez, Jose Macias and Raymond Romero.
The family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home at 2301 First St.
