Charles F. Vigil

On Sunday, April 14, 2024, Charles F. Vigil, life-long resident of Tularosa, NM passed away at the age of 92. Charles and his loving wife Molly made their life and raised their 5 children on their family farm in Tularosa.

Charles is a retired civil service firefighter from Holloman Air Force Base. He is also remembered as every one’s favorite milk man working for City Dairy of Alamogordo. Following civil service retirement Charles worked for the Tularosa School District as a mechanic and school bus driver for the athletics programs. 

He was preceded in life by his wife, Molly; parents, Louis and Anita Vigil; brothers, Frank Vigil, Johnny Vigil, Raymond Vigil; sisters, Mary Butte, and Josie Osburn. He is survived by his children, Charles F. Vigil Jr. of Seattle, WA, Eddie Vigil and wife of Tularosa, Ronnie and wife Beth of Tularosa, Jeff and wife Kelly; his daughter, Julie Ann Harrington of Seattle, WA. Charles was loved and adored by his grandchildren, Shawn Vigil, Seth Vigil, Olivia Capobianco, Kevin Harrington, Veronica Treas, Anita Vigil, Troy Vigil as well as 10 great grandchildren. 

Services will be held at St. Francis de Paula Catholic Church in Tularosa, NM. Rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm on Thursday, April 18, 2024. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am, Friday, April 19, 2024.

Burial will follow Mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
